Executive Bod

The Executive Board of Directors (BOD) provides leadership to the Council, authorizing and approving bill payments, communicating with external agencies, appointing committee members, and scheduling and organizing WWPC meetings.

The BOD is made up of the WWPC president, six area representatives, and three ex-officio members – the director of the Department of Agriculture (or appointee), a representative from the University of Wyoming, and an industry representative.

The WWPC president is nominated by the Nominations Committee and elected by a vote from the entire council. The president serves a one-year term with a maximum of three consecutive terms.

Each area representative on the board must come from and be nominated by the area he/she represents but is voted on by the entire council. No more than three supervisors may serve as area representatives at any time. Area representatives serve three-year terms with a maximum of two consecutive terms.

The BOD elects a vice-president from among its members and the president appoints a secretary and treasurer.
